Briefing | Briefing will take place on the day in front of the former Lochearnhead Watersports centre, at the top of the loch, 30 minutes prior to the swim. The briefing will take place outdoors so please ensure you bring warm clothing. |
Start | On the starters/referees instruction, swimmers should promptly access the water and form a line between specific buoys and the referees boat adjacent to the old jetty. Start will be via loud hailer or whistle. |
Course | A 1 mile fresh water, self navigated, swim that follows a course around the Left Hand Side of Crannog Isle, marked out by buoys in the water adjacent to the island. Swim will start at the buoy adjacent to the old jetty of the former Lochearnhead Watersports Centre at the top of the loch. |
Finish | Swimmers will finish by touching the buoy at the starting point of the swim, i.e. between specific buoys and the referees boat adjacent to the old jetty and will be signalled by a whistle. |
Costumes | Costumes must comply with SASA regulations which are the same as World Aquatics in this respect. Open Water Swimwear for both men and women shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor shall extend below the ankle. All Open Water swimsuits shall comply with the World Aquatics criteria for materials and approved procedures.Wet suits can only be worn if indicated on the entry form. |
Parking | Parking will be available at the public car park at the top of the loch. |
Presentation | Presentation will be held in front of the former Lochernhead Watersports Centre at the top of the loch following the completion of the swim. The following Categories will be awarded: |

In addition to the annual awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each category will be awarded a unique 'YeAABA Loch' medal in Gold, Silver or Bronze. All finishers will receive a personalized certificate.
